Major Product Upgrade 1

Dear Circular Ring users, we hope this announcement finds you in good health. We would like to express our appreciation for your continued support of our product. We have been working hard behind the scenes to improve the Circular Ring in all directions, and we would like to share some exciting updates with you.

Firstly, we would like to apologize for our lack in new posts on our socials. We took as we were focused on improving your experience. We will resume new posts soon. We have been considering all your valuable feedback and reworking our priorities accordingly. We are committed to making the Circular Ring the best possible wearable solution for you.

A lot of people are wondering about the beta. We aim to be out of beta in 3 months from now. In the meantime, we are working hard to improve your experience.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be releasing a new data acquisition mode this week called “Opti”, which stands for “Optimization Mode”. Based on your feedback, we have prioritized the development of this mode, which will automatically switch to Performance Mode around your personal sleeping timing and switch back to Eco Mode outside of it. This will result in an increase in battery life and a better user experience, as you will always have access to your sleep stages without having to manually switch modes.

We have also been working on improving the accuracy of step counting. You can already see improvements as of this week as we pushed an improved algorithm. However, this is not the final algorithm, and we are continuously developing against step counter references to improve the count. While no wearables are 100% accurate with step counting, we have already made significant improvements and are continuing to develop this feature.

Important notes: comparing your Circular’s step to your phone’s step may not provide accurate results. Research has shown that smartphones tend to underestimate step count by a significant margin. This is because smartphone may not count all steps taken, especially small and slow steps or steps taken while carrying the phone in a pocket or bag. Studies have found that smartphones can underestimate step count by as much as 30%.

In the coming weeks, we will be releasing the V2 algorithm, a new update that we have been working on for over a year. We will be releasing the use of the green LED and the release of our improved ppg peak detection algorithm which will significantly improve accuracy. The overall will result in improved sleep staging, heart metrics accuracy, and derivative metrics, with an increase in accuracy of 20%. Be reassured the green led will not be used during your sleep to preserve your circadian rhythm.

We are also continuously working on improving the accuracy of your sleep and energy scores and contributors.

We are intensively working on Bluetooth improvements, which will allow the ring to be continuously connected to your phone. This will enable the full potential of the ring, including phone alerts notifications on the ring and button functionality. We understand that these features are highly anticipated, and we will be releasing them step by step this year.

Additionally, we will be implementing the ability to edit or create sleep and sport logs if the tracking is wrong or if you missed wearing your ring. We are also adding new Kira recommendations and aspects to provide even more personalized insights and predictions about your health.

We're thrilled to announce that starting from mid-April, all Circular Rings will be waterproof, making it easier for users to wear the device while washing their hands or engaging in water-based activities. We've considered the feedback from our customers who have been eagerly waiting for this feature, and we're pleased to deliver on our promise to make the device more convenient and versatile. For those who are waiting for waterproof rings, we invite you to contact us at support@circular.xyz or via chat, and we'll be happy to delay your delivery until the waterproof version becomes available.

We are also working on several aspects of the logistics for improvements. At Circular, we believe in providing our customers with the highest quality products possible. That's why we've made hardware quality build one of our top priorities. We understand that durability and reliability are essential for a wearable device that you wear 24/7, and we're committed to delivering a product that can withstand the rigors of daily use. We've recently made significant improvements to the hardware quality build of Circular Ring, including enhanced materials, tighter manufacturing processes, and rigorous quality control measures. These improvements ensure that our product meets the highest standards of quality, and we're confident that you'll notice the difference. We're dedicated to continuously improving our product, and we appreciate the support and feedback from our customers that help us make it happen.

At Circular, we are a small and passionate team that is proud of what we've accomplished so far and are motivated every day to create the foundations of what will become the best product on the market. However, we've reached a stage where there's a tremendous demand for the product, and we need to scale up to meet our customers' expectations and our development plans. We know that many of our supporters are eagerly waiting for updates, and we promise to share more news soon.

Thank you again for your continued support, and we look forward to sharing more updates with you soon.

Sincerely,
