Circular Ring 2 Release Notes (Nov 2025):  Shipping Complete, Infrastructure Evolving

November was the month we finished what we started. Every Kickstarter backer who trusted us during the campaign now has their ring. The app got its first visible redesign. And behind everything our customers were able to see the stress tests our engineers are running with one million simulated users to prepare for what comes next.

This is what it looks like when a health tech company keeps its promises while building infrastructure that can scale without breaking.

Firmware 1.4.6 – Sport Session Fix

Firmware 1.4.6 went live in Week 5, delivering sharper accuracy to step counting and activity intensity during sport sessions. Updating to 1.4.6 means your workout data records completely and consistently, with every segment captured exactly as it happened.

Earlier in the month we also shipped a firmware update that took sleep tracking reliability and precision to the next level. Sleep is one of the most complex metrics we measure, requiring accurate detection of transitions between light sleep, deep sleep, and REM stages. These improvements refined how the ring identifies those transitions and calculates sleep cycles. Paired with AFib and ECG data, sleep tracking now feeds even richer inputs directly into Kira AI.

App Version 28.25.0 Updates

Version 28.25.0 arrived with multiple improvements, stability refinements, and bug fixes. More importantly, the redesign we had been working on started rolling out. Users noticed smoother transitions, cleaner visuals, and a refreshed interface that feels lighter and faster. This is just the beginning of where the app is going.

Why Infrastructure Directly Shapes Your Health Data

The technical work happening behind the scenes has a direct and meaningful impact on the quality of health insights every user receives. When we talk about server upgrades and firmware improvements, we are really talking about whether your sleep score accurately reflects how rested you are, whether your Energy Score correctly captures your accumulated vitality, and whether Kira AI can spot early warning signs in your vitals before you feel anything.

Ring 2 tracks over 13 features and 140 metrics continuously. Heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, heart rate variability, activity intensity, sleep stages, stress levels, and movement patterns all feed into Kira AI, which translates that raw data into actionable insights.

This is why we built dedicated calculation instances for each user rather than shared infrastructure. One person's morning sync never slows down another's. This is why firmware updates go through full testing cycles before they ship, so every improvement reaches you working exactly as intended. This is why every support ticket gets a manual review rather than an automated reply.

Health tracking is not like other consumer products. We were the first in the ring category to integrate a functional ECG and AFib detection system, giving you the same irregular heartbeat monitoring you would get from medical equipment, but on your finger. Atrial fibrillation is a type of arrhythmia characterized by irregular and often rapid heart rate. Left undetected, it can damage the heart, brain, and other organs, and potentially lead to stroke or heart failure. Early detection is everything, and Ring 2 watches for it around the clock.

Sleep tracking detects subtle transitions between sleep stages. Women's health predictions track temperature shifts as small as 0.1 degrees. Stress monitoring runs continuous heart rate variability analysis. Every one of these capabilities runs on infrastructure built to handle whatever comes, reliably, at any scale. When someone trusts you with their cardiovascular data, their sleep patterns, or their reproductive health information, that is the only standard worth building to.
