About Circular

Built to improve life.

Circular started as a question we could not stop asking: why is it so hard to understand what your own body is doing on any given day?

Wearables were supposed to help people understand their health. Somewhere along the way most of them became monthly fees, vague scores and dashboards that never told you what to do next.

So we built the thing we wanted. A ring for prevention, a plain-language read on what your body is telling you, and no obligation to keep paying to hear it.

We built it because we couldn't find another one.

It started with a health problem. One of us needed to follow his body closely, day after day, and reached for the wearables already on the market. None of them were built for it. They counted steps. They scored workouts. They said almost nothing about health.

That was the moment Circular started.

The finger turned out to be the answer. The arteries sit closer to the surface there than anywhere a watch can reach, which is why a ring can hold a clean signal all night and take a single-lead ECG in forty seconds. Everything else followed from that.

We wanted a device that would tell us the truth about last night in one sentence, and say what to do about it today. Not a screen full of numbers to interpret on our own.

“We did not start Circular to build a wearable. We started it because we wanted to understand our own bodies better, and we realised nobody was building that tool for us. Every decision we have made since comes from that same place.”

01 · Founders and leadership

People who got obsessed with a problem.

“We are people who got obsessed with a problem and could not let it go.”

Circular is funded by its founders and backed by a group of business angels and family offices — doctors and athletes among them, people who wear the ring themselves and tell us when something is wrong with it.

It matters when we decide what to build next. The only voice that matters in the room is the person wearing the ring.

Circular is led by a team of engineers, designers and product specialists, supported by clinical advisors. Every algorithm is reviewed by the engineer who wrote it and by clinical advice before it reaches a wrist — or, in our case, a finger.

02 · Engineers and team

Every person on our engineering team wears the ring.

That is not a policy. It is what happens naturally when you build something this close to people's lives: you want to find out what it says about you.

It also means the bugs get found by the people who wrote the code, usually before anyone else notices them. Nobody ships a change to sleep staging without sleeping in it first.

The team spans embedded and clinical signal processing, algorithm design, app engineering and design. Each discipline is led by specialists with deep experience in their field, and every algorithm is validated against clinical reference hardware before it is trusted on a screen.

App releases are reviewed across the full team before they reach customers. The discipline of the work and the discipline of the use are deliberately the same.

03 · The community

It came before the product, not after it.

Our community did not arrive with the product. It came first, and has grown around it ever since.

The people who backed us when Circular was a first prototype gave us the truth, because there was nothing else to give. They told us when the ring was too thick, when the app was confusing, when a number meant nothing to them.

Thousands of them are still wearing the ring today, and the reason we continue to improve it is the same reason we started: they tell us what is missing.

Every message we receive is read.Every feature request is logged.

Every piece of feedback is recorded in our product planning. Some requests ship in the next release, some shape the one after that. None of it is ignored.

That is the kind of company we want to be: one that launches a product and stays in the conversation with everyone who wears the ring.

Three things we believe.

01Your health data should not have a monthly fee.

Every insight the ring can produce is included in the price of the ring. Circles — the deeper analysis screens — can be unlocked with coins you earn by wearing it. Vital alerts are free for everyone, on every ring, from the first night.

02Build with the community, not just for them.

Our roadmap is shaped by the people already wearing the ring. We publish release notes, we answer messages ourselves, and we say no in public when we think a request would make the product worse.

03The best health tool is the one you forget you are wearing.

No screen to check. No charge every night. Four grams of titanium, eight days of battery, worn through sleep and showers — measuring while you get on with your life, and speaking up only when it matters.

Our mission

To make every person wearing a Circular ring feel genuinely cared for.
